Michigan Fish Producers Association Convention
This weekend, January 29-30, 2010 the Fishtown Preservation Society’s executive director, Amanda Holmes, will be attending the Michigan Fish Producers Association Convention. Despite the name, those connected with commercial fishing from all around the Great Lakes come, as it is the only gathering of its kind! Several organizations such as Michigan Sea Grant and Michigan Department of Natural Resources will present on topics such as Asian Carp in the Great Lakes and Recruitment Dynamics of Lake Whitefish in Lake Michigan.
